America, Korea, and Canada

What do you get when you put two Americans (one purebred, one halfie), a Korean, and a bunch of Canadians together for an afternoon at the lake?  You get a wonderful, fun, and exhausting time!  Although to be clear, it was mostly just exhausting for Jane because she had a small baby who was not so sure he wanted to drive all the way up to the lake!  Thanks for being a good sport Jane!

The team for the day was:  Dave and Jane and their kids, Dave and me and our kid, and then our Korean and our American friends.  Good ol`Bessie (our dilapidated Toyota Corolla), was a champ and got us all the way out there and back, even though we had five people in our car.  She even started on the first try... what a car!  haha... some highlights of the day:
Z, and O`s family play in the shallows

Balancing on the logs

Dave and Jacob help each other balance

Juno and the little boys

Jacob and me swimming back from the buoy... that`s Jacob splashing..

Only an American would think to bring a pound of butter on a hike... gotta have it for crackers!

Z and O playing in the dirt/sand... it was quite windy, so Z wanted a coat

Photo op on the hike back.  :)

Going to wash our feet after hiking barefoot on the muddy path
It was a very fun day!  It makes me very excited for July when Z and I are going to be cooking out at woodsman camp (a part of camp Homewood, that is held in the same place we were for the day)!  He and I are going to have so much fun living out there for two weeks... and swimming every day hopefully!  Now THIS is the perk of living at camp!  :)
